6th Main Bikasipura has become dangerous with too many vehicles, and 2 wheel drivers are going very fast with too much sound as there are no humps at all. This much speed is not allowed in this area, as this is a purely residential area. I request you to provide some humps on the road to control the speeds.

Fencing work has been started from Vasanthapura main road (Ward 197) towards CITI engineering college. But it is left out on the other side of Vasanthapura main road just about 300 meters. This pipeline area is used for wrong purposes like dumping garbage and heavy truck vehicle parking. We local people struggled to clear the garbage dump area and finally cleared. Just I wondered why this particular small area is left out from the fencing. Could you please give the details of whether the project funding includes fencing for this area also. Please get this fencing done for this area, otherwise it will be dangerous for the water pipeline as heavy truck vehicles are parked here.

I am requesting the authorities to clean the open drain which is in Simha Lay-out,back of Siddhant Apartment which is causing hygenic problem and there is no proper water drain out during the rainy season too.

Hi Corporator - We are increasingly seeing the garbage issue(see attachment) near entrance of Vasantha Vallabha Nagar(adjacent to DAV public school). This garbage is attracting animals and insects and will spread diseases. I wanted to bring this issue and also request your help in addressing this issue.

Roads are equally in pathetic conditions but we have learnt to live with it.

Please note that illegal construction activities are taking place in konanakunte Survey No 24/1A which belongs to BBMP ward No 197, Uttarahalli Sub Division, Subramanyapura Office. We have complained repeated to BBMP 197 officals - Revenue and Engineering Divisions. However they are not taking any action against the illegal constructional activities taking place in survey No 24/1A BBMP ward No 197. The whole land, 3 acres, is in court OS 6286/07. Request to take action against the illegal activities and also acknowledge the same to us.

Sub: Initiate measures to prevent Pollution of Lakes during Ganesha Festival.

We on behalf of Subramanyapura Uttarahalli Neighbourhood Lakes Improvement Trust (SUNLIT) firstly wish you all on occasion of Gowri and Ganesha Chaturthi. We appeal and request all the residents as well as offfice bearers of the RWA’s in and around Subramanyapura Uttarahalli zone not to dump the pooja waste into lakes and request you all to dump /dispose of the waste into the dustbins which will be arranged by civic authorities at the lakes .

Dumping of waste and other items in the lakes will pollute the lakes and will lead to death of the lakes. Death of lakes and water bodies lead to scarcity of water for human habitat . So we the trustees of SUNLIT formed to save lakes and water bodies in and around Subramanyapura Uttarahalli zone once again request the responsible citizens of this zone to support us in saving the lakes and water bodies for ourself as well as future generation.

We request all the residents to take this first step towards saving lakes and water bodies by not dumping / disposing the waste at lakes and water bodies and rather handover the waste to the BBMP pourvakarmikas or dispose of the same in the dustbins provided by Civic Authorities at the entrance of lake bed before immersing the Gowri and Ganesha idols at the lakes.

There is no sanitation available for 7th Main Doddakallasandra.

The issue has been brought to Vijaya Ramesh's notice many times.. but there has been no response.

Sanitation being a basic civic necessity and a potential health hazard, i would request authorties to have a look at the issue on priority.

We used to blame BBMP, BDA, BMRDA, BWSSB for lake encroachments as well as current state of affairs of lakes in and around. Today i came to know that Karnataka Forest Dept too is culprit when it comes to Janardhana Kere issue is concerned. Lot of encroachments in and around this lake which is as per KFC dept it is 7 hectares and 10 guntas. God bless Bangalore city.

We are the resident of Doctors Colony, 1st Cross and suffering lot of problem with the open drainage like foul smell, pigs are wandering through the drainage . Kindly look into the matter and do the needful to cover the same to avoid civic problem. Please also note that due to non availability of sanitary connection, all the connections are openly given to this drainage The concerned authorities will look into the matter and help us to provide proper sanitation and cover the drainage in a proper manner to make the area clean .

BBMP spent Rs 72 lakh on road asphalting, only on paper G Manjusainath, Bangalore, Nov 22, 2012, DHNS: The month of June 2008 is etched deep in Savita Katarki's memory as she was blessed with a grandchild. Some days later, she got a gift from the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike, when roads were asphalted for the first time in Vasantha Vallabha Nagar in Vasanthapura ward of Bangalore South Assembly constituency where she lives. She is quite particular that no tarring happened in her locality since then. “Our roads are in a bad shape despite repeated appeals to the local corporator to asphalt them,” said Katarki. But, little does the elderly woman know that the roads in her area have been asphalted at a cost of Rs 72 lakh last year, if not on the ground, at least on paper. Documents obtained by Deccan Herald under the Right To Information (RTI) Act show that the “fake bill scam” continues unabated in Bangalore South Assembly constituency. The contents of the documents raise questions about the projects worth Rs 85 crore, carried out in the constituency in the last one year. The documents show that bills were submitted even without executing the works or the works were carried out in a shoddy manner. The RTI documents show that four bills pertaining to these works were submitted, two on September 30, 2011 and the other two on March 31, this year. One of the bills submitted last year was for an amount of Rs 45 lakh. The new ‘scam’ reminds one of the Rs 10,000- crore fake bill scam unearthed last year. Rude shock Katarki was in for a rude shock when she was told that bills worth Rs 72 lakh have been submitted. “If this has happened then it is nothing but a blatant lie and an act of corruption. Is there any government functioning in the State?” questions an outraged Katarki. Narasimha Swamy of the same layout was also in for a shock when he was told that the road in the area has been asphalted. “Either you are lying or we have been cheated,” said Narasimha Swamy. Temple not spared The BBMP officials and the contractors have not even spared the ancient Vasantha Vallabharaya Temple. The 1,200-year-old kalyani at the temple is now in a shambles, but the BBMP records show that Rs 35 lakh has been spent to 'improve' the temple tank. Further, the contractors, the documents reveal, spent Rs 95 lakh last year to 'improve' the areas surrounding the temple. Of the Rs 95 lakh, a sum of Rs 54.31 lakh was spent for laying concrete road and Rs 45.35 lakh for improving parks and taking up other development works around the temple. While improvement of parks and development works are not visible, the concrete road is of such quality that it cannot withstand a single monsoon, local residents said. Works around the historic temple were carried out by Karnataka Rural Infrastructure Development Limited (KRIDL), a subsidiary of the State government. Highlights Based on a complaint by a local India Against Corruption (IAC) activist Phanisai Bharadwaj about the shoddy construction of drains in Vasantha Vallabha Nagar, the BBMP Commissioner last month asked the TVCC to submit its report. The TVCC officials visited the spot and submitted their report, pointing to many loopholes in the execution of works. Highlights of the report: * Records of the quality testing of construction material not available * Records of the publication of tender notices missing * Broken and damaged slabs used to cover drains * No permission sought from competent authority * No records to show negotiation schedule * Reports point to 'collusive/fraudulent' tender process * Works did not get over even after 90 days of work order * No confirmation of completion certificate * Details pertaining to beginning and completion of work missing * No mention of the measurement of the road and drains in the map

Presently the road is being used by the residents of Gokulam residents, Residents of Vasanthapura, Mantri Serenity construction people,Akshaya Patre vehicles & workers & BMTC bus which connects city market to gokulam iskon. Presently, the power is drawn from our Gokulam apartments, but the road belongs to B B M P ward no .
As it is causing the burden of exchequer to the Association, we request you to take the action by providing the bescom power to the street lights immediately and comply with our request.

Hi, Though I am paying an Annual SWM cess of 360 rupees, the garbage collectors do not even come near my street to collect garbage. As per the law there has to be door to door collection. My Area that is not being serviced is: 3rd Cross, 1st Main, Doctors Colony, Near Konanakunte Telephone Exchange. There are open man holes on the road, some man holes are damaged and causing life threat to the residents commuting on this road. Me and a pillion rider on my scooter got injured because of the damaged man hole. Few months back my neighbor, a 14 year kid died on the spot when a speeding canter van hit him when trying to avoid the open man hole. Who is responsible for these deaths and injuries? BBMP and BWSSB should take immediate action to close these man holes.
