a lot of commuters travel on this route, changing buses. a direct bus would really help us and prove beneficial for bmtc too.

Residency Road towards Mayo Hall

For two days and two nights Convent Road, Richmond Road, Residency Road have sounded like a war zone. It is common knowledge that high decibel crackers have been BANNED by the courts, and for a good reason. When we called the 100 line to report the problem a very stupid girl tried to convince us these crackers are "permitted" when we know for a FACT they have been BANNED. 100 line serves no purpose. We had to physically approach Ashok Nagar police station to get police intervention. Even after police came and went, the goondas started terrorizing the public again.

Tonight, while walking around MG Road neighborhood we witnessed grown adults bursting banned crackers in public spaces.

The problem is NOT children and teenagers, the problem is GROWN ADULT MEN AND WOMEN well past the age of 30. Even when children are guilty, it is in collusion with their parents who put the banned crackers in their hands and teach them how to behave like goondas. I have seen with my own eyes adults teaching their kids to take banned, high decibel crackers to public spaces and burst them arrogantly and unapologetically.
